I've Missed Blogging!

Oh my, how time flies! I thought I would have a short break from blogging, just to see if it gave me extra time in my day. And it has been months!

So, let me introduce a new addition to the family, the gorgeous Freya Grace.

Miss Butterfly (all grown up!) and little Freya
Born on 31st March, my gorgeous second granddaughter.

I think she is pretty adorable and I am enjoying all the cuddles. And such a content little thing - sleeps well, hardly cries. Just happy. Definitely because Miss Butterfly is so calm and collected and just goes with the flow.

I am hoping now to get back to blogging more regularly. I will just have to be very strict and only allow myself a certain amount of time a day on the computer. In the past, I have found the problem is not updating my own blog, but reading everyone else's blogs. I have 'met' so many wonderful people through blogging and I love to read their blogs and then I get lost in the rabbit warren. You all know how it is!
I would be interested to hear how much time other people allow for their blogging a day or a week and whether you have a specific method to manage your internet time.

I do love blogging and I hope to be here on a much more regular basis from now on!

  2. It's good to hear from you again. Your new granddaughter is adorable. I feel the same about blogging. I LOVE it and LOVE the blogging friends, but sometimes feel overwhelmed. Time flies when you get involved on the computer..hours can slip away! Right now I could probably use some advice on how to handle it all. :) Welcome back!!

  3. Oh how lovely to hear your lovely 'voice'. It is wonderful to have you back again. I have wondered where you were and how you have been. Oh, your Freya Grace is gorgeous. I am so happy for you and your daughter. Babies make the world seem right again, don't they. Lucky you to have a baby who just goes with the flow. It really is the most beautiful photo of Miss Butterfly and her Freya Grace. So, so happy for you all.

    1. Thank you so much! I have missed all of you in the blogging world, but I think I needed to take some time out to smell the roses and work out a more family-friendly blogging schedule. Hope all is well with you.

  4. Jayne, I'm so excited that you're back! I confess to being worried about you and hoping everything was all right, so I'm utterly relieved that it is!

Freya Grace is adorable! What an absolute cutie!

As for blogging time, I do struggle with either making time or spending too much time. Like you, it's reading everyone else's blogs that ends up bogging me down. Especially now that I'm going to buckle down and write my book, it'll be interesting to see how much time I can spare for my blogs.

But I'm just so happy you're back. I missed you! Hugs!

    1. Oh, thank you so much for your kind welcome back. Just needed some downtime from the computer, I think, to get priorities straight.
Writing a book - wow, how exciting! I so look forward to reading it.

  5. I've been wondering what happened to you and was going to pop you an email. Freya Grace is a blessing and how beautiful is the mother. Joyous times. I actually read blogs most nights but this is after I have put everyone to bed or waiting for the little one to fall asleep. I only manage to blog twice a month. I seem to put the photos together and write a post in a day but it's always spontaneous. I'd love to have a better system but I think as time goes on and I have more me time I will be able to do that. This is I have been struggling with health issues so I've had a lot of down time reading on the computer. When it's bad I can't do anything but stare out the window wishing for better health for the sake of my children.

  8. I've been away from blogging, too! So much to do in the summertime, and it's hard to be outdoors working or playing when I'm sitting in front of my laptop... Congrats on that new blessing! :)

  9. Good to hear from you. You do have some great blogs to read. I admit that I read about half of your blog list. If you don't mind the observation I felt that you were perhaps joining in on too many challenges. For example the novel reading challenge in addition to the classic films might take too much time. Maybe you could limit blog reading to after dinner when the kids are in bed or writing on your blog once or twice a week. Alternatively a time limit for blogging and related activities per day could also work. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    1. Thanks! I think you are right - I do tend to love a challenge and am keen to join, but then get bogged down in keeping up with all the posts required. I am going to limit myself to a certain amount of time per day.
